From Home to Haven: Staging for Stunning Photos

As a custom home builder, we make sure to get professional photography on completed projects before the homeowners move in. Unfortunately, photos of empty rooms fail to accentuate and capture the build quality and custom-selected interior finishes. We decided to invest in some small interior staging for our most recent project completion in Boerne, TX. By strategically placing a few key items in the kitchen, bathroom, and office, we were able to help represent the kind of look completed homes from Build Native achieve. Interior designer, Megan Lovelace, led these efforts to create a true dream home interior.

The Kitchen

The kitchen is often the heart of the home, so we wanted to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The light countertops and white oak provided the perfect backdrop for textured items such as linens and fresh flowers. Some artwork was added for color. Of course, there were plenty of practical items included, such as cooking utensils, glasses, plates, and salt and pepper shakers. Stools were added to the counter to make this look like a welcoming space.

The Bathrooms

The bathroom is another important space in the home, so we wanted to make sure it looked its best. We added a few towels, fresh flowers, and luxury soaps. We also placed candles on the counter for warm lighting. The primary bath had stools added.

The Mudroom and Laundry Room

These functional spaces received textiles and baskets. The laundry room had space for art above the practical laundry soaps. If you’ve got to do laundry, what better space to do so than this!

The Office

The home office is an inspiring space with wall to wall built in shelves. To soften the shelves and create a workspace, we added books, office supplies, and book ends. The leather chair, wood and white toned items on the shelves compliment the dark navy color perfectly.

The staging we added to this custom build photoshoot helps potential future customers see the potential of the space, while keeping the homeowner’s space private once they move in. It also highlights the build quality and custom-selected interior finishes.
