Why Environmental Champion?
Eco-friendly building has been at the core of what we do since day one. For us, building a home means taking a holistic approach that considers performance and durability for long-term impact.
We build with resilient materials made for our Central Texas climate. When paired with a properly designed HVAC system and ventilation, our homes achieve high levels of energy efficiency. Many of our homes outside Austin City Limits also utilize whole-house rainwater collection systems, empowering homeowners to actively participate in water conservation. Solar panels further enhance performance by allowing homes to generate clean energy, while backup batteries give homeowners piece of mind and added resilience.
All this together is our Build Native standard for homes that are well built, healthy for their occupants, and designed to work for their homeowners.

Our consistency is guaranteed by robust internal systems, including a proprietary 26-chapter Operation Standards Manual that guides our team from site preparation to final cleaning. We also distinguish ourselves through a deep commitment to education. We use a structured “Build Native Protocol” to guide customers through the green building strategy, while our team engages in weekly meetings to review best practices and learn from vendors, driving a culture of continuous innovation.
Where We’re Going From Here
Our impact continues to grow. We are currently working on 10 active projects in and around Austin, adding to our history of over 100 homes built to date. In the last two years alone, we have installed 138.55 kW of solar capacity and created 316,600 gallons of rainwater storage capacity for our clients.
Looking ahead, we remain dedicated to building by our standard. By closely monitoring our operational metrics and staying true to our mission, we will continue to demonstrate that even a small builder can make a big, measurable impact on the environment.
